It all started with an owl...
An Eurasian eagle owl to be exact. An adorable little ball of fluff and feathers, whose name is Oak.
Turns out, Oak (as a growing chick) was an eating machine. So in an attempt to vary Oak’s diet, I thought to myself, “Hey, wouldn’t it be a brilliant idea to raise some feeder quail?”
But just like chicken math, quail math quickly spirals out of control, which lead to the creation of What the Quail Farms!

Nestled in the beautiful South Carolina Lowcountry, What the Quail Farms is a small, family business. Our farm is dedicated to raising exceptional feeder quail, along with providing fresh, nutritious eggs, catering to the diverse needs of both domestic and exotic pets. Whether you have reptiles and raptors, or dogs and cats, our frozen quail are perfect for almost every type of carnivorous and/or omnivorous pet.
As an NPIP and AI clean facility, we prioritize raising healthy and nutritionally sound quail.
